Memphis Zoo Animals Look Just Like Tulsa Zoo Animals!
After a morning physical with Dr. Kim Kasow, D.O. (the transplant physician) Martha hung-out in the teen room with the "child-life specialist" and got supplies for an upcoming art contest. After that we signed-up for the HOBIT study - this was the one thing on our schedule we could never figure out. HOBIT is a research study they're conducting here regarding the effects of LAUGHTER-RELAXATION & MASSAGE on stem-cell transplant patients. Since this is a research study that means there are 3 groups, patient only who participates, patient & parent participating or the control group that doesn't participate at all. We'll let you know which one we're in after we complete the initial survey and the randomizer assigns us to a group.
This afternoon we went to the Memphis Zoo. Very nice, they have PANDAS in a very lovely Asian-styled exhibit. It was a perfect day to be outside, so we had a good walk too! See my Cat Claws coming out? Some of you will hear about those details later, just make sure you get both sides of this story when you do. I continue to be on the prowl, chasing away the advancing alley cat. More tomorrow, Watch this Site!
