Tulsa Oncology Clinic Harbors Saint Jude Fugitive

Yes, this is how we got a little carried away with the shopping trip! We knew exactly where we could get that extra ball gown, but it happened to be at a store called ITEMS at 61st Street and South Sheridan in Tulsa! And yes we were correct they had the perfect dress, Martha picked it out immediately. She also took her Prom dress to be altered because of her weight loss.

This all occurred yesterday and we left at 3AM today to get back to Memphis for her lab appointment at 9:45 AM. Since we didn't run any of this by her transplant doc, we decided that a visit to our Tulsa healthcare team was in order. Sorry we missed Kathy and Dr. Hum, but it was great seeing everyone else. Best of all on this whirlwind was sleeping in our own beds, seeing Mark & Michael and last but not least petting Waldo!

Has anyone told you lately that you are CRAZY????? I cannot believe you drove 12 hours for a dress. (Yes I can.) I hope you had a great trip. I am glad you found the perfect dress. Give us details. Lots of love, Dad and Arletta

That must have been fun!! I loved dress-up with the girls, as long as its not me dressing up.

She still needs two pairs of shoes. They have great decorated flip flops for dancing in (no bare feet on the cold floor) and another pair for the pictures. Those are just to make mom happy (we like to make mom happy don't we?) lol

Is her date short? Since she is tall, that could be a prob.

There is a wonderful tailor shop at 91st and Sheridan that did a great job hemming dresses (shetlands u know). They were also real cheap. It used to be called Vo's, but I think it has a new name now.

Bridal Classique had a whole bunch of jewelry that matched their dresses. I couldn't get them to wear the long gloves for their pics, but it would have been elegant.

Mom, take aside her date and tell him that the arm corsages work much better for dancing. Does she have any big dangly earings?

I told the girls not to drink a lot of pop and bought them some of those cheap whitening strips so their teeth would be white. Tennis bracelets add a nice touch in the pictures, but they just snag their pretty dresses when they dance.

oh--living vicariously is just not as fun.

Enjoy
